Hi my lovely friends and family, and kind donors, I hope you are all well.

I will be part of a team from Singapore American School who are visiting Cambodia in November (27th - 30th) on a housebuilding mission for the charity Tabitha. Our team hopes that you will be able to sponsor a part of one of the houses we build.

Each house costs $460 to build and each of us have been asked to raise at least $1000 (Singapore Dollars) to go towards building up to 12 houses that weekend (any additional funds raised will mean more houses can be built - and we get to work harder - which is great!!).

Any donation you can afford would be truly gratefully received. You are reassured that my personal expenses have already been paid for by me, and you will not be contributing to my flight/accommodation .....your money will go straight to the deserving people of Cambodia via lovely new houses for them to live in.

Today, the poorest of the poor in Cambodia are dying, and watching their children die, from a lack of food, a lack of clean water, a lack of shelter, and a lack of hope. Extreme poverty goes hand in hand with disease, depression, domestic violence and a lack of dignity.

Since 1994 Tabitha has worked with over 500,000 Cambodian people in the poorest communities in the country. Tabitha's philosophy of self-help is designed to promote self sufficiency and dignity through savings, counseling, and goal setting programs.

Families typically graduate from Tabitha in 5 - 7 years after which they have food for their children, clean water to drink, shelter and a source of income. More importantly, they have achieved a sense of dignity and, with their heads held high, can now look into the future and see hope for their families.

By supporting the activities of the Tabitha Foundation Singapore, you too can bring a smile to a child's face and hope for their future. Your help will truly last a lifetime.
